Miles Community College –

The annual Buckaroo Bash held by Miles Community College (MCC) has been scheduled this year for Saturday, April 17. This fundraising event draws in supporters of the college and the MCC Rodeo team for a night of food, fun, and live/silent auction items on the MCC campus in Miles City. Funds from the event directly benefit the MCC rodeo scholarship program.

While normally held in February near Valentine’s Day, this year the Buckaroo Bash has been pushed to a later date partly due to COVID-19 restraints. The new date was ultimately chosen to coincide with the MCC College Rodeo, held at the Ag Advancement Center in Miles City on April 15 and 16.

“MCC has made the decision to reschedule the Buckaroo Bash in the hopes that by April we will be able to gather safely in a larger group,” says MCC Director of Institutional Advancement Elizabeth Patten, who oversees fundraising events at the college. “We are looking forward to watching some great college rodeo, celebrating with the community, and supporting the MCC Rodeo program!”

“It will be a very important and super busy weekend for MCC Rodeo,” commented MCC Rodeo Coach Chris Witcher. “Moving our college rodeo to Thursday and Friday allows us to have the (Buckaroo) Bash in the same weekend and gives the Miles City community several opportunities to come out and support MCC rodeo.”

MCC will continue to be vigilant in promoting personal and community safety by adhering to COVID-19 guidelines at the local, state, and college level. They will continue to assess the national, regional, and local situation and will work closely with public health officials to host these school events.

Tickets for the Buckaroo Bash will go on sale March 1, 2021 and are only available in advance.
